Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why can’t I book single days or half days?
The safety of your children is our number one priority. We will therefore only permit full-week and 3 consecutive day bookings over the holidays. We will keep children in their own bubbles each week. We are doing this to reduce the risk of coronavirus infections.
2. What activities will my children be doing?
Activities at our camp will remain fun and engaging. In line with current government guidance, all of our activities will be delivered with limited equipment and with social distancing enforced, wherever possible. Our team will ensure good cleaning practice is in place.
3. How do I know my child will be safe?
Our instructors are DBS trained and have been through appropriate Covid training. Good cleaning practices will be encouraged throughout the day and children will remain in their bubble across a full week. Groups will be split between two entrance and exit points to avoid large numbers.
4. Will siblings be split up?
We have planned to operate in line with current government guidance to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection. This means that children from the same household can be split up and spend the day in their age-appropriate bubble, or they can stay together, however, if so, they must stay in this bubble for the rest of the week.
5. Friends
If your child would like to be with a particular friend, please let us know before the camp and we will see if we can accommodate you depending on your child’s grade/experience.
6. What happens if someone demonstrates COVID-19 symptoms at our camp?
A child displaying COVID-19 symptoms will be removed from their bubble and put into an isolation room until they can be collected by their parent, guardian, or carer. You will be instructed to follow government guidelines for anyone who is suspected to have COVID-19. This currently involves you and your household self-isolating and arranging a COVID-19 test as soon as possible. Remain in isolation until you receive your test results. If the test is negative, you can come out of isolation and return to camp. If the test is positive, you must remain in isolation until fourteen days have passed and inform us immediately.
7. How will the sign in/out process work?
All children will have their temperature checked on arrival with a touch free thermometer. Any child showing a temperature over 37.8°C will not be permitted to attend. Hand sanitiser will be available on entry.
