Abel Karate, School of Champions, was established in 2010 in East Molesey by Head Instructor, Sensei Paul Abel. The school teaches under the Shinrae Karate-do Association, which is affiliated with the English Karate Federation and the World Karate Federation.
Today, the Club has expanded across Surrey, with classes in areas such as Thames Ditton, Molesey and Hersham, providing outstanding classes in local areas. The school itself stays close to it’s founding principle; that Karate can be an inclusive discipline and that Abel Karate will welcome and celebrate participation of the sport from all ages and abilities.
Present day Karate is categorized into four main areas: Mental Conditioning, Physical Conditioning, Self Defense and Sport. As a sport, Karate improves fitness and enhances strength and co-ordination, but the club also particularly excels at cultivating several internal values within its members. As self- respect, motivation, teamwork, discipline and confidence develop, they then naturally carry through into the school or work setting.
Club members have access to training sessions every week, as well as regular opportunities to attend courses and compete in local, national and international competitions, all of which will aid their journey towards belt promotion.
Abel Karate is a family-friendly club that welcomes members regardless of their culture, gender, religion origin or ability. We aim to help each student achieve their goals for practicing Karate, taking into account their individual abilities and ambition.
All Abel Karate Instructors are appointed on the basis of merit and suitability. All Instructors have a current valid enhanced DBS check.
We want you to enjoy learning with Abel Karate and will do our very best to make you feel welcome and secure.
